Soldiers in Uniform

There’s been something on my mind for the past couple of weeks and I’ve failed to make mention about it because of the risk of coming across as a**hole but what the heck.

I’m sure you’ve come across them every now and then and you might have asked yourself the same question too but why is it that we see soldiers who have been fighting abroad for our country, walking around malls or supermarkets with their uniforms still on? I find it hard to believe that they just got off the plan from Iraq and that they just decided to walk around in their uniform. Is it because they fein for the attention of people coming up to them? Someone explain this to me. — jorgeq

Jorge,

They are usually in the process of recruiting when they are at malls.  I get approached all the time because I look so young.  If they are shopping in uniform, they might be a full-time recruiter - that means they have an office and wear the uniform everyday.
